Scaling up the decentralization of childhood TB services and extending TB services non-TB entry points will increase TB incidence detection in children in Tanzania, Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) urged. 

Presenting results achieved from the Catalyzing Pediatric TB Innovations (CaP TB) project, Dr. Leo Haule said TB notification increased from 10.6% to 15%, while proportional of 0-5 years also increased. "TB detection in Singida and Tabora Regions has increased from 369 to 540 and from 178 to 379 respectively", reported Dr. Haule, Country Implementing Manager - CaP TB Project at 0800am Breakfast Debate, January 2021 Edition.

CaP TB, a project of EGPAF and was implemented in the National Strategic Plan (NSP V) between 2017 and 2021.

Dr. Seif Mbarouk, Regional TB & Leprosy Coordinator, and Dr. Godwin Munuo, Deputy Chief of Party - AMREF, were discussants at the open dialogue facilitated by Policy Forum on behalf of CSOs.
