Undoubtedly, technology plays a vital role in providing solutions to different challenges affecting today's society. Technology has great potential in improving access to education.

Shule Direct, a local CSO and a member with Policy Forum, in collaboration with researchers from Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH), provided in-depth insights to inform and enable constructive dialogue on how education could leverage technology in improving access.

Shule Direct's objective for February's edition of 0730 People & Policies Breakfast Debate presentation was to inform various stakeholders in the education sector of potential opportunities and impact that technology can have if integrated into education. The monthly platform brought together various stakeholders in the education sector, including policymakers, education specialists, and researchers.

"We already have competetive priorities as a country, how do we allocate our resources as a nation to education given the other challenges we face. That is where Technology comes in, creating a pathway to learn knowledge that is not necessarly replacing the existing system but coplimenting, enabling students to learn at anytime, anywhere and meet the challenges and gaps they face in schools right now".
