The Loan was first Introduced in 1993. 10% are mandatory free interest loans set by LGAs from own revenue for empowerment of women, youth and people with disabilities to groups to carry out income generating activities to lift their households out of poverty. 10% are revolving distributed by 4% women, 4% youth, 2% people with disabilities (PWDs).
UNA Tanzania Approach to Engage in 10% loan, advocate for governance and effective implementation of 10% regulation at local and National level. Raise awareness and information sharing with youth, women and people with disabilities to capitalize on 10% opportunities for improved livelihood hence ensure no one is left behind in Tanzania.
